How to remove resin stains according to the type of fabric

To clean garments of substances such as resin, we must use chemicals that are not tailored to all fabrics.

Fabrics such as raincoats, cotton, polyester and cashmere, are sensitive to cleaning methods involving alcohols and professional or industrial stain removing products.

Before cleaning, always check the garment tag and test a part that is not visible.

10 ways to remove resin from clothes

We will list the techniques and remedies based on ease of application, i.e., from the easiest to the more complicated.

1.  Steam / hot iron

The faster you do this the better the results will be, so we recommend doing so in the first few minutes after the garment is stained because the resin is still fresh and has not hardened.

Use a hair dryer and apply heat to the stain from distance so that the resin is heated. Stay vigilant so as to not burn the fabric. When you notice the resin melting, use some cotton soaked in acetone to remove it. You can also apply a hot iron, but don’t press the stain.
